Space challenges edition 2017 announces successful completion

Space challenges edition 2017 has officially ended. The space cadets had their final presentations exactly five weeks after they’ve met for very first time! Here below we give you a hint of the projects:

Project “Dandelion”

Project objective: to design and develop the next generation of urban monitoring tech.

Team Smart city and space 1 created an online platform where you can see in real time the levels of air pollution. To get all the measurements, they’ve created an autonomous system for monitoring the environment powered by solar panels. Taking the project even further, they’ve also developed customizes models of the hardware. By doing so they provide a possibility for their product to be reshaped for indoor use!

Project “Spacewave”

Project objective: to design and develop the next generation of urban monitoring tech.

Team Smart city and space 2 developed their project also in two directions – online platform and hardware design of the prototype. The platform is tracking the changes in air quality that will collect the data from the surroundings. The goal of their project is to raise awareness among the society over air pollution in the country.

Project “Urban eye”

Objective: discover how your city has changed over the years and explore urban development as it happens.

Project Urban eye aimed at developing a platform that allows the end user to explore in real time the urban changes. More precisely – monitor the evolution of the real-estates market. They provide visual and analytical access to information affecting the real estate market. Presenting a short demo of their product – the end user can explore the map in depth without even leave his home! All you need is a pair of 3D glasses.

Project “The Planeteers”

Project objective: discover how your city has changed over the years and explore urban development as it happens.

The Planeteers’ main objective as set is to provide information about the changing living conditions in the growing cities. For the analysis of the the surface temperature, green & urban areas they’ve developed a platform – allowing you to explore and compare the urban conditions in the cities. They’ve based all data analysis on real time satellite data. Some of the platform’s functionalities include the possibility to compare the conditions in two different cities in real time. Stay tuned for more updates as we will soon publish short videos showing our cadets in action!
